You know what I miss? Walking the cobblestone streets of SoHo, New York in the Summer. I find this particular neighborhood enchanting. SoHo’s designer boutiques, high-end restaurants, fancy chain stores, high-end art galleries and the occasional super-influencer trying to get a shot in the middle of the road. My favourite lunch time activity was searching for boutiques with great window displays. I am a sucker for well merchandised boutiques.
Sabon was definitely a favourite. Sabon is named after the Hebrew word for soap, and this boutique always stopped me in my tracks. I found this boutique to be calming and aesthetically pleasing plus they were so generous with their samples.
Now that we are mostly stuck in our homes and have very little access to the spa world, I appreciate the idea of ‘home spa’. Covid has taught us to put our spaces to use no matter how small they are. You know what else I love? All the money we get to save doing things by ourselves.
What do you need for your home spa?
You do not need a fancy bathtub to get that self-care spa date with yourself. All you need is your bathroom, some candles, some bath/shower salts, some spa music and you’re set for relaxation. Check out Sabon for some great discounts or your local stores for some refreshing body scrubs and relaxing oils. I know it’s just Monday but we can go ahead and plan our weekend reward.
Happy New Week my lovely friends.
